Standout month for VKVP Haulage
May has been a good month for Felixstowe-based transport specialist VKVP Haulage.
Firstly, the logistics company was awarded Ocean Network Express’ One Aspire Award on 12th May, and the company then took delivery of five new Renault trucks at the start of the month.
Acknowledging the significance of the accolade, operations director Mark Bennett says: “We are incredibly pleased to receive this award; it is a testament to the hard work undertaken by all our staff over the last twelve months.
“Received in recognition of our outstanding service, performance and flexibility, as well as for demonstrating our commitment to sustainability, we look forward to furthering our relationship with Ocean Network Express (ONE) and thank them for believing in us.”
The company is also delighted to have taken delivery of five new Renault T Range 13L 480hp Turbo Compounds this month.
With Renault Trucks committed to reducing fuel consumption and CO2 emissions, significant changes have been made to its T range in design and driving and onboard comfort.
VKVP’s transport compliance manager, Tony Willats, says: “With a list of ‘must-have’ requirements developed to inform our purchasing decision, our five new Renault trucks tick all the boxes for VKVP.
“Hugely dependable and designed to deliver improvements on both fuel and emissions, the fact driver welfare forms a significant part of the T range’s MO made our decision-making a whole lot easier.”
With the five new trucks already making a positive contribution, VKVP Haulage’s fleet now stands at an impressive 80.
